I always love the start of a new month, and in a comper's calendar November really does begin the countdown to advent competitions. I mentioned these a few weeks ago and they run in the same way an advent calendar does, with most promoters offering a new prize for every day! December can be a brilliant month for compers and the only advice I have is to make sure your own personal Christmas stuff is organised so that you can concentrate on the advents. So with just under a month to go now is the time to get sorted! And we also offer a free advent competition site which I'll give you all details of very soon - so watch this space!
However; onto this week's competitions - good luck all!
Tea India is offering you the chance to win a room makeover worth £1,500 - now wouldn't that be nice to have a spruce up before Christmas? Enter here

Now if you or anyone you know has a fancy Christmas do coming up you could just win your tux here! Moss Bros is giving away a tuxedo worth £500. Just submit your details here

As a comper, receiving nuisance calls on your mobile can be a regular occurrence. Even if you do opt out of third party contact there still seems to be some that manage to get through the net! However, you can sign up to a new text service offered by Ofcom and the TPS (telephone preference service) which allows you to add your mobile number to their call blocking database. To sign up simply text TPS to 78070 and you should then receive a text reply confirming your number has been added. Another way to report callers to your own mobile network is to forward any nuisance text messages to 7726 which actually spells out SPAM on a traditional phone keypad and reports the sender of the text (check with your network provider though as to whether they charge to send this). But also some network providers do have their own blocking system so it could be worth giving them a call anyway. But as a top tip just remember that some WTC (winning telephone calls) can come from withheld or unknown numbers so just have a think about blocking these types as you don't want to miss any decent wins!
The Entertainer toy shop offers a free letter
from Father Christmas. If you visit one of theirstores
between now and 26th November and just post your letter in their bright red letterbox all you'll need to do then is wait for the reply! And if you fancy trying to win a £100 gift card in the process then make sure you take a pic and upload it to theirInstagram
pages with the hashtag #santasletterservice. Entries must be received by 23.59 on 17th November.
