Banish the wet weather blues...

There's a trip to Florence on offer this week, which brings back memories. Lizzie and I went there many years ago, it was a trip to remember, we missed our flight and had to go via Rome and fly on a small aeroplane when Lizzie hates flying. But as I said at the time, we could at least say it turned out to be a two-city holiday! I'd love to go to Costa Rica and would make sure we didn't miss the flight, especially if we won the holiday listed this week. And talking of holidays I'm a bit suspicious of the descriptions that have 'luxury' and 'Shepherds Hut' in the same sentence, they strike me as a contradiction. I'd much rather play it safe with the two-night stay at Danesfield House Hotel & Spa. The weather has definitely turned cold, so I got a real buzz from all the holiday's listed today any of them would make the onset of winter feel better, and there are some crackers including a trip to Los Angeles and a tour of The Griffith Observatory, a seven-night break to Crete and a week's holiday in The Maldives. There's also a three-night Aurora escape to see the Northern Lights from a glass igloo on offer. Now the Aurora lights are big on my 'to do' list, but I always assumed I'd see them from a boat. An igloo sounded a much more adventurous idea until I thought, how do I get to the igloo...?  Tesco and Malibu are offering a hand-built garden bar, which I would love, to the extent that I'm wondering how to justify buying a bottle when I don't even like the stuff. There just loads of great prizes this week, including a four-night break for two in the French countryside worth over £3,000. So, banish the wet weather blues and get comping...
