How to celebrate coming out of lockdown in style

This second lockdown is getting to me quickly, and it doesn't make sense as I know it's only going to last a month, whereas we had no idea how long the first one would go on for.

I think it must be because we never quite got back to normal, so it seems like and extension of the first one, and how I dream of 'normal'. So I love comps where I'm going to be able to celebrate normal by inviting family and friends to something special...

Now I don't like golf, I've played it about half-a-dozen times in my life (very badly) but even I could pretend that it's a great game if I won the 16-person golf break at one of The QHotels UK golf resorts.

There's also a self-catering retreat for six at Eastbury Cottage and a Lake District getaway worth £1,800 at Birkdale House. It doesn't say how many people it's for, but for £1,800 it must stretch to more than two and if not, it will be so nice I won't care!

On a similar theme there is a four-night stay for two at Lindos Grand Resort & Spa worth over £2,000 and a four-night stay at Rancho Pacific in Costa Rica.

Christmas comps are also coming thick and fast and you could celebrate coming out of lockdown with a family trip to Lapland.

And definitely to my taste is the selection of wine, cider, port and cheese, there's also a mixed case of 12 bottles of wine and a year's supply of Portuguese wine.
