It shouldn't ever happen to a comper

Did you see the story last week about a chap who won a £30,000 sports car on a Tuesday and had totalled it by 6:30am the following day! Luckily he and his passenger were OK and walked away from the crash, but the car didn't look like it would be moving again.

We all dream of winning a car and Autotrader are giving you the chance to win a car every month. I can't see how many months they are going to run the comp for, but it must be for a while.

And it's not just small, cheap cars that are on offer; they are offering a different electric car each month, starting with a Tesla Model 3. Having recently driven an electric car, I'm a convert. They are so smooth, and in sport mode the one I drove was blisteringly quick as well.

There are also more comps to spruce up your garden with a bundle worth over £4,000 and various kitchen garden prizes worth £1,830.

Lizzie reckons you have about as much chance of winning the £100 B&M voucher as you have of finding a store that actually has one of the egg chairs they are advertising. She's been to more than a few stores to try and get one with no luck. Unless it's with a free £100 voucher in hand I don't think B&M will see her in one of their shops again.

I've given up on the idea of trying to go abroad this year. I wasn't sure if I wanted to and all the stories about the potential cost and hassle have just put me off. So I'm doubling my search for UK holiday comps and there are a couple in this week's issue that look great - a week's holiday in Wales worth £1,225, a staycation within the heart of the Test Valley, Hampshire worth £1,000 and a weekend break for up to four at Leycroft Valley worth £1,235.

And while I might not want to get on an aeroplane just now, it doesn't mean I'm not still trying to win a big holiday and the three-night stay at Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru in the Maldives would do me nicely.

Stay safe and good luck.
