Even though I haven’t been comping much I’ve still managed to win tickets to see the movie Dunkirk with drinks and popcorn thrown in, plus two tickets to Dover Castle (if you’ve never been you should, it’s wonderful), a light box and a big parcel containing three boxes of Nexo Knight Lego. And my case of Amigo Tequila beer arrived too; cheers! We’re off to Stratford-upon-Avon on Saturday for a short hotel break so I am hoping for at least no rain (not been lucky weather wise so far for the summer hols) which should mean we can enjoy the local area a bit more. Feel free to perform a sun dance for me so we can avoid the rain!
As it is the summer holidays now I’m including a couple of comps that the kids can get stuck into; if you missed last week’s newsletter you can check it out here where you will find some more comps for the kids.
Patisserie Valerie is currently running a Junior Baker competition; open to ages 16 and under only. The kids need to visit them in store and ask one of the servers for a #JuniorBaker competition sheet and crayons. They then need to draw a picture of their dream gateau, saying what is in it. Adults you then need to take a pic and share with them on social media using the hashtag #JuniorBaker. Social media links are at the bottom of this page . Alternatively you can download the sheet for your child to enter from home.
For children aged between 7 and 12 years old they can enter the Jacqueline Wilson creative writing competition. They will need to write a letter to someone that lives far away; the letters should be no longer than 750 words long and cannot feature real characters or events. One lucky winner will have their letter published in an upcoming Jacqueline Wilson novel! They will also receive £100 worth of books, a year’s subscription to First News, a book bundle for their school AND the chance to meet Jacqueline Wilson. They can enter here before noon on 8th September.
Have fun with these ones and I’ll include some more next week for the little terrors! And for the rest of you keep an eye on the website tomorrow for your update of social media comps. Also I’ll be around in the evening via our Facebook page if anyone fancies a comping chat.
Have a great weekend.
