SP Xtra: Editor's Blog

Hi, my name's Sammy and I'm the Editor of Simply Prizes magazine. Every week I'll be bringing you an update or two about any interesting competitions I find or any comping news. Plus I'll bring you any competitions or offers I find.

Forget Christmas; win a short break for 2017!
I'm pretty pleased with how the advent comps are progressing so far for me. I've been lucky enough to win five prizes; a calendar, some alcohol tasting tickets, a DVD, a gorgeous pair of earrings and a stocking full of kid's film merchandise. I also had a surprise win of a book turn up from a competition I entered back in November. I am spending quite of lot of time entering and averaging probably about 3-4 hours a day. The first round of the 12 days of Christmas has finished with some promoters now but there are some new ones doing the rounds alongside the others that are running for the full 24 days. You can take a look at the full list here.
Now onto some comps; I've found some breaks away for us all, perfect for a January pick me up - good luck!
Sainsbury's Magazine is offering you the chance to win a two-night stay at Georgian House Hotel in London with breakfast and a bottle of champers. Just enter your details here before 23.59 on 3rd January 17.
Win a VIP stay in London with tickets to see 42nd Street at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane; to enter register/log in here before 23.59 on 8th January.
Zatchels has a bag of your choice and a Champneys Spa Day for two up for grabs. Simply submit your details here before midnight on 8th January.
I'm heading off to London this weekend with the hubby and kids for our annual weekend Christmas stay and have been checking out what to do. The View From The Shard has 15% off tickets if you pre-book online and from the 17th-24th December kids go free too! How lovely to be able to check out all the London lights from the sky!
Are you still Christmas shopping? If so check out Boots Star Gift ; Soap and Glory the whole glam lot for just £30, reduced down from £60! Offer available until 23.59 this Thursday.
I recently bought something on eBay which came too late even though I paid the extra 'guaranteed' postage; the seller said I could return the item when it eventually arrived however I would have to pay the return postage (bit unfair considering it wasn't my fault I felt!). But because I paid by PayPal I found out that I could get my return shipping on them ; this is only available until the end of the year for up to four items to a total of £15. Pretty handy though at this time of the year!

Good luck and happy comping!
