I've not had much time for comping over the last week; the children had a teacher training day Friday so we made the most of that and nipped off to Legoland (which was free as I got the tickets through my saved up Clubcard points), then Abigail had her 8th birthday party Saturday and a friend's party on Sunday. My emails have built up and it's the end of the month which means there are literally hundreds of comps doing the rounds! So, I've decided to start afresh on the 1st July and use Unroll Me to help sort my emails. Unroll Me is a program that sorts through all your newsletter subscriptions and presents them to you in alphabetical order, and you can quickly zip through and unsubscribe to the ones you don't want. After clicking on five it will ask you to like them on Facebook or send a tweet. And then you can carry on. Some compers prefer to go through their emails manually but if like me they've built up to thousands this can be a really quick and easy way of getting on top of them again. Lesson learnt - be more 'email' organised!
Now talking of being organised, the Simply Prizes website
can help you do just that! When entering our comps you can keep track of how many you have entered and filter your entry methods
, which makes it really easy to just choose what ones you want to enter if you are running short of time. And don't forget a lovely new batch of comps was added yesterday with a whole host of different prizes up for grabs.
And take a look at the comp I've found to share with you all this week; how do you fancy a seaside break in Cornwall worth over £4,000? Yes? I thought you might! Grand Designs is offering you the chance to spend a week in a Cornish holiday cottage built by Grand Designs designer, Ian Hogarth. To be in with a chance answer the following question here
before 19th July; in which Cornish town are Hogarth's holiday homes located? Suggested answer - Bude.
As we edge more into the summer months it is worth checking out the water efficiency website 'Save Water Save Money'
. You can input your postcode
to find out what free products and services you qualify. Products are delivered by your supplier for free and within 28 days usually. I've ordered several items for absolutely nothing. Save Water Save Money say that the gadgets could potentially save over £100 on your water and energy bills.
Outdoor gyms are becoming exceedingly popular especially in the warmer months, and they are also completely free. Councils are funding outdoor gyms and hope that it will promote healthier lifestyles. Your local council
should be able to provide details of any outdoor gyms but you can also look at The Great Outdoor Gym Company
who both provide the equipment for the outdoor gyms.
Also be sure to head on over to our Facebook page
where you will find a selection of competitions; it's also a wonderful comping community where you can chat to other compers and share your own comping news and advice.
