Most of you will know I am currently enjoying a holiday from a prize I won a while back. It was a photo comp where you needed to submit a picture of a fun time on holiday. I love photograph competitions as I always take loads on my phone when I am out and about with the kids, so I usually have a great stock of ones to choose from for entries. If you fancy taking a nose check out our Facebook page as I have popped some pics on of the lodge on there.
Also don't forget to head over to our website
now as you'll find your usual Monday update competitions have just been added (because of the bank holiday!), plus you'll have your social media update tomorrow and Friday. You'll find a whole host of lovely goodies up for grabs; including things like holidays, items for the home and garden plus lots more! I'm having a break from the comps this week but am sending you all lots of luck if you're planning on entering them.
Now take a look at the comp I've found to share with you all this week; Emerald Street has £1,000 worth of Ocado vouchers plus a signed copy of the book A Year of Beautiful Eating by Madeline Shaw up for grabs. Just answer the following question here
before 7th June to be in with a chance; what is the name of Madeline Shaw's new book? Suggested answer - A Year of Beautiful Eating.
With the general election literally just around the corner check out your local council to see if you can help; it's a great way of earning some extra cash and doing your bit! Councils will need poll clerks, counting assistants and runners in order to make the day run as smoothly as possible. Some councils use their own staff but others recruit and there may still be some vacancies. You can find your local council details here
via the Government website.
As we head further into the summer you'll probably be spending a lot more time outdoors. My daughter loves going on bike rides but the more she uses her bike the more I need to make sure it's safe for use. Halfords offer free bike checks
where one of their trained bike mechanics give your bike the once over and makes sure it is good to go. You don't even need to book - you just turn up with your bike.
Also be sure to head on over to our Facebook page
where you will find a selection of competitions; it's also a wonderful comping community where you can chat to other compers and share your own comping news and advice.
