I had an absolutely brilliant weekend – a while back I encouraged one of my friends to enter a win your wedding competition, worth a massive £8,000! She was hesitant as she had the attitude of ‘but I never win anything’, but I used the good old motto of ‘you’ve got to be in it to win it’! So we sat down together and submitted a small 50-word piece on her and her other half alongside a piccie; she was then shortlisted and on Sunday, at a local wedding fayre, the winner was announced…..and she won!! It was a real edge of your seat moment as they called out the runner up names first; we were both literally shaking when they were down to the final two names! And when they announced her as the winner it was just fab! I am so, so pleased for her!

Some bargains to be had for Christmas pressies can currently be found at both Asda and Tesco , where they have a 50% off selected toys sale. You can purchase either in-store or online to take advantage of the great offers. Supermarkets usually follow the same trend – Sainsbury’s are launching a toy sale (up to 50%) on selected brands today; this is in-store only, until Tuesday 29 October.
It could also be worth checking out Poundland and Poundworld where they have a selection of branded toys such as Monsters University and Star Trek for just a £1!
Tesco have estimated that there are over two million customers with unspent Clubcard vouchers (worth up to a whopping 16 million) due to expire at the end of November. The vouchers have a two-year expiry date so make sure you check yours! You can do this easily online by logging into your Clubcard account (via the Tesco website) and clicking on the My Vouchers tab. This will then bring up any vouchers you have with a list of their expiry dates.
Have a good week
