"I won first prize in a BBC Good Homes competition: £5,000 to do up our home. One of Dulux's interior designers came round to decorate with a £3,000 budget to spend on decorating and £1,000 on paint. The best thing was going to work to show off - with my congratulations letter in hand. They couldn't believe it!"
