I spent a rather fun day on Saturday at Peppa Pig World in PaultonsPark where I had the great joy of meeting Peppa and George from the children’s TV program Peppa Pig. My kiddies were in heaven and the rides were fab too, we all enjoyed it immensely, although left at the end of the day feeling rather tired!
I’m off home soon and am hoping that I might come home to some winning emails and letters! Fingers crossed!

After talking about Ebay last week, it got me thinking about other great shopping sites. I’ve found Bumblebee Auctions, which sees Police forces in England and Wales auction off lost property and goods where they have been unable to return them to their rightful owners. It’s an eBay style site, so you put in bids and if you win you can collect from local Police stations or have them delivered. It’s on a much smaller scale than eBay so it’s all about timing and looking regularly. There could be times where the item gets cancelled if the rightful owner happens to spot it. But, if you have parted with any money, you will get it back.
When you are thinking of buying something it’s always worth checking out sites like Freecycle or Freegle. These sites have items listed for free, but it is in the spirit of ‘recycling’, so the mantra is you give as well as receive. The sites work via the main site, which you go to, and then are directed to the smaller web community one. They are generally based on your local area.
If you’re looking for some ‘posh’ clobber for a big night out and can’t quite afford all the desirable designer gear, check out WishWantWear and girlmeetsdress.com. These sites allow you to rent rather than buy, shaving £’s off the cost of a luxurious outfit. Just watch out for hidden extras such as late return fees and soil and damage costs.
Back to normality for me next week. I’ve had a fab few weeks away, but am looking forward to getting back into the swing of my comping!
