I took the children to London on Tuesday for a day out in half-term. We visited the ScienceMuseum, the NationalHistoryMuseum and of course Hamleys, and all had a really great (if tiring!) day. As a comper I love trips into London as there are loads of creative competitions that do the rounds there, often involving snapping pictures or tweeting certain companies. So be sure to keep your eye out if you head into the big smoke!
And talking of keeping an eye out, it’s definitely worth checking out the new Postcard Store page on Facebook. They are currently running a ‘like us’ competition to win a goody bag, perfect for us compers to grab some decent quality postcards for all those postal entries. Plus I’ve been told they’ll continue to run competitions and ‘exclusive offers’ to their likers!
Your Home has a Swan retro fridge freezer available to win, worth a massive £699.99! Simply enter your details to be in with a chance. Closing date 6 November.
Absolute Radio has a fantastic competition to win a Sony Tech bundle, including a TV, PS3 and the new Batman game. To enter either log-in or register and answer the following question; Batman is the alter-ego of which DC Universe billionaire? Answer – Bruce Wayne. Closing date 8 November.
Cartoon Network has two LeapPad Ultras up for grabs, one for you and one for a friend; simply enter your details for your chance to win. Closing date 10 November.
Tesco launched its new Christmas Clubcard Boost on Monday meaning that £5 worth of Tesco Clubcard vouchers is now worth £10 in store or online. It has added five new departments for Christmas where you can ‘double up’; toys, gifts, electricals/phones and Finest champagne & wine. Perfect for that Christmas shopping!
John Lewis launches its new loyalty scheme today; entitled ‘My John Lewis’. And although it won’t offer ‘points’ it will offer free tea and cake (at an in-store restaurant) every month to every member, and ‘treats’ such as prize draws, personalised incentives etc. It has trialled this over the last year with 75,000 customers and some were even lucky enough to receive Olympic tickets as part of the scheme. It could be one to watch! And seeing that it is free to sign up to you have nothing to lose. Sign up from today with your email address online or in-store.
If you do go on a trip to London over the half-term, up to two children (aged 4-15) can go free at The View from The Shard when one full priced adult ticket is purchased. (Valid until Sunday 3 November) As The Shard is a new tourist attraction, discounts of any kind are rare, and considering kid’s prices are £18.95 each, this could save you up to a massive £37.90! Adult online advance tickets are £24.95 or alternatively you can use this offer at an on-the-gate priced ticket of £29.95. It’s better to book in advance though to make the most of the savings.
Have a good week!
