I’m back to the world of comping after a two-week break and came home to a couple of little wins; a hardback copy of Sophie Kinsella’s latest novel and a £20 Argos gift card. I’m actually really pleased as I haven’t comped properly for a good month or so! But I’m getting back into the swing of it now, so fingers crossed for a winning September.

With autumn just around the corner, (although luckily the sun is still shining massively here), I’ve found some brilliant home and garden competitions to ease us all into the next part of the year.

Homebuilding.co.uk has a handy Hedgehog Gutter Brush bundle worth £100 up for grabs, perfect for protecting and maintaining your gutters ahead of the winter months. To enter answer the following question and submit your details; Which of the below is a famous hedgehog? Answer – Mrs Tiggy-Winkle. Closing date 4pm 12 September.

Goodtoknow has a KitchenAid mixer and baking hamper available. Great to start prepping all that winter food! Answer the following question and enter your details; According to our article, 'Fun science experiment for kids', how much white vinegar do you need? Answer – 100-200ml. Closing date midnight 13 September.

Your Source Today has some gorgeous vases available to win, worth £690! A fab accessory to compliment the autumnal flowers. Simply enter your details to be in with a chance of winning. Closing date 15 September.

Around this time of year is a great place to start saving and thinking about Christmas (which will be here before we know it!). I’ve found some sites that can help towards this, even just a few pounds a week all adds up.

Letting someone park in your garage or on your driveway could net you up to £200 per month! City centres seem to be the most sought after spaces but you can still make cash elsewhere; if you live near a transport link (train station, airport etc.) or football ground for example. It’s worth checking out even if you decide not to go to the next step. Look at ParkatmyHouse or Park on My Drive.

Quidco, the cashback site, has free apps that allow you to earn cash just for walking into a shop. You don’t even need to buy anything! Just check in on the Quidco app when you walk into the shop and it will pay you 5-50p a time.

If you’ve got an iPhone you can download an app called Field Agent  where companies send small market research jobs via the app. Basically you just need to take pictures, write a review or check prices in store. Each task pays around £4.50, but some pay up to as much as £10. The good thing about this is there is no minimum earning barrier before you can withdraw your money. It’s simply paid via Paypal and you can take it out when you want. Check the jobs regularly because, as you can imagine, they go quickly!

Have a good week.
