Last week saw many compers getting restrictions placed on their Facebook accounts which prevented them from liking or following new pages. It was a bit of a pain to be honest as some promoters ask you to like their page to enter a competition so it made it difficult to enter any new competitions. However, this does actually go against Facebook guidelines so we could have been paying the price for companies that ask us to do this. There are however a few things you can do to help prevent this from happening in the future:
Â
1)Â Â Â Â Â Try to only enter app-based comps on Facebook; ones that don't require you to share. The more content you share, the more Facebook seems to see this as spam.
2)Â Â Â Â Â Alternatively enter the competitions that only require you to like/comment on a status for a page you already like.
3)Â Â Â Â Â Give Facebook comps a miss every few days and pop lots of 'normal' personal statuses and photos on there.
4)Â Â Â Â Â If you enjoy social media comping, head on over to Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest etc.
5)     Go to the Simply Prizes website where you'll find lots of email, postal and web based comps which should keep you busy!
