I don’t know about all of you but I am completely worn out! Alongside the daily Advent competitions (of which there are hundreds!) my children have so many things going on at school that I am running around like a mad woman. On the plus side the grandparents are babysitting this weekend whilst the hubby and I have a little pre-Christmas getaway. And this time the hotel break is a win courtesy of my better half, so it can’t come at a better time really!
At the top of my Christmas wish-list is a Pandora bracelet which has got me searching out jewellery comps - I’ve found some gems (excuse the pun!) for you all this week.
Eve’s Watch is giving away a gorgeous watch from the Promesse collection of Baume & Mercier. Racking in at a whopping £1,300 it’s one that every lady would like to wear! To be in with a chance answer the following question here by midnight on 30 December; what was Paul Mercier’s real surname? Answer - B. Tschereditschenko
Francis and Gaye Jewellers have a men’s Citizen Eco-Drive watch up for grabs worth £149. Submit your details here by 31st December.

If you’ve already thought about and booked (you organised people!) next year’s summer holiday you could be due a refund on Air Passenger Duty for under 12’s if you’re flying after 30 April 2015. From the 1st May 2015 all flights will have scrapped APD for that age group. According to the news, airlines will only process refunds directly so if you’ve booked via a travel agent then you’ll need to contact them.
If you’ve changed energy suppliers in the last six years then you could be due some money back. Statistics show that a massive 3.5 million people are owed money from an old supplier. Ofgem have stated that it expects suppliers to do more to refund the amounts but ultimately it is down to you to claim it back. Energy UK has set up My Energy Credit which should be able to help you with this. They also have a contact telephone number which is 0370 737 7770.
And finally, if you wear a uniform to work and have to wash, repair or replace it yourself you could reclaim tax from up to four years ago. Even if it’s just a branded t-shirt this could apply to you. There is a full list of occupations on the HMRC website and you will need form P87 to make a claim. If you’re unsure of anything you can contact the HMRC helpline on 0300 200 3300.
Just to let you know; your Just Comps email will be with you slightly earlier next week, so keep an eye on your inbox from Monday. Monday is also the day when the world’s largest lottery is drawn. El Gordo or the ‘Fat One’ is an institution in Spain with whole villages joining in syndicates to win. Madrid comes to a standstill when the draw is made - not surprising when there is millions at stake. I’ll tell you more on Monday but if you want to find out how you can join in now just click here.
