World Cup fever – grab yourself some bargain goodies!

Both my youngest two children have birthdays in June and we held a joint party on Saturday which was great fun! I always try and make sure that I enter a variety of kid’s comps where I can build up a stash of suitable birthday presents for either my own children or for other people’s.  Buying pressies can be an expensive game so it’s handy to have a little help from our hobby!

So this week I have found some great ‘children’s comps’ to hopefully give you a helping hand with present buying!

Made for Mums has a bath bundle of toys worth over £50 up for grabs. To be in with a chance log in/register and answer the following question; What do penguins eat? Answer – Fish. Closing date is 23.59 on 26th June.

Readers Digest has a competition to win the new special edition Wasgij Original 21: Football Fever puzzle. Answer the following question; How many football teams played in the first FIFA World Cup? Answer – 13. And submit your details here by 27th June.

My Family Magazine is offering one lucky person the chance to win an Ultimate PL-UG Kit; which allows children to build almost any den they imagine. To get your name in the draw email pl-ug@myfamilymagazine.co.uk by midnight on 30th June with your name, address and day time contact number.

With the holiday season pretty much upon us, Mumsnet have come up with a handy guide regarding passports and making sure you don’t get caught short! Sometimes passport literature can be confusing, but this is an easy to understand piece that gives you all the essential information you need condensed down.  Take a look here.

The country is currently caught up in World Cup fever and it’s easy to end up spending a fortune on the paraphernalia that goes with it. Even things like an official World Cup ball seem to be hitting nearly £20! Argos is selling one for £14.99 which looks to be the cheapest on the market or Tesco is selling an ‘unofficial’ one for just £4. And football shirts and kits are very expensive; even with certain shops offering discounts they are still rather pricey! If you’ve any footie mad kids take a look at H&M; they have football shirts for just £2.99.

And if your family are getting fed up with all the football talk and fancy a change then check out Budget Breaks; a family of four can take a short break at Legoland Windsor from as little as £99 including your entrance to the park, hotel and breakfast! Offer is available on selected dates (which does include some weekends) and is subject to availability. They do say it won’t last forever so book soon!

Have a great week. Stay lucky and don’t forget to keep in touch!
