Well January is proving to be quite a lucky month for me so far. I’m currently on 8 wins to date with an approximate value of £250. All great prizes too; I’ve even won a few for the hubby so I’m in his good books too! It’s a win win situation. How are you all getting on? Drop me a line and let me know.

I’ve been hearing from lots of fellow compers about how ‘weekend’ breaks are at the top of their wish list of wins for 2014, so I’ve found some great comps this week to give you that chance.

Hello Magazine  has a luxurious two-night break in Edinburgh at the five-star Balmoral Hotel up for grabs. Not only that, but you’ll be served afternoon tea on a steam train and also have the use of a personal shopper who will help style you with the perfect outfit. Simply enter your details for a chance to win. Closing date is 26 January.

Absolute Radio has a three-night short break in Dubai, with flights, transfers, breakfast, travel insurance and an extra £250 to use towards your spending money. Register/log in and answer the following question; How many different flavours of Options hot chocolate are available? Answer – 20. Closing date is 23.59 on 26 January.

Delia Online has a luxury two-night foodie break in the Scottish Highlands available to win; including a prosecco afternoon tea, dinner on one night, whisky tasting with a complimentary book and bottle of whisky and to top it all off a luxury hamper and £100 towards travel! To enter simply submit your details. Closing date is 30 January.

Being the New Year you probably won’t want to spend much money, but I have to tell you about this fantastic saving I’ve found! WHSmith has a Kobo Touch E-Reader at just £29.99 (online and in store). That’s a massive saving of £60 as they usually sell at £89.99! I have a Kobo and absolutely love it! It’s not as well-known as the Kindle, but there is still a huge library of four-million books available and I can also use my local library to download books onto it for free; which you can’t do with a Kindle!

If you’re currently with BT be aware that they have started charging for previously free services; 1571 and caller display services have been chargeable since Saturday. Now costing £1.75 per month each that could total up to another £42 yearly onto your bill. If you want to opt out sign into the BT website or call 0800 587 7218.

The Sun Newspaper’s £9.50 holidays are back. You can collect tokens up until Tuesday 28 January and you’ll need 10 before you can book. The holidays are available on selected dates between March and May or September and November subject to availability. You can either book online or via the post after downloading the booking form. Due to the price of these holidays they are not flexible in anyway and offer no form of money back if you cancel. So be sure of everything before you book.

Have a great week. Stay lucky and don’t forget to keep in touch!
