Although I can’t quite believe it today, spring did arrive at the weekend. I had to dig the kids’ bikes out of the garage, pump the tyres and do all the sort of things they should be doing themselves, but always seem to get left to the parents.

But enough of the humbug, the kids had fun and I enjoyed seeing them out and about. I hope today’s weather is just a ‘blip’ and the long range forecast will prove correct, with a  long and hot summer in the offing.

Much more immediately, my wife can see the end of the Easter holidays getting nearer. She is looking forward to some peace descending on our house with just our four kids at home, rather than the tribe of children we always seem to accumulate over the breaks!
