Will this prove me wrong

A couple of weeks ago I was talking about how our cats ignore everything we have bought them to sleep on and find their own, often very odd, alternatives. To the extent I have sworn not to waste any more money buying them anything new. But I wonder if the self-heating element of this might make a difference. I'm not convinced enough to open my wallet, but if I win, I'll let you know...
