So I’ve returned from my hols to wet and miserable weather, which is playing havoc with my laundry catch up! I didn’t enter any comps whilst I was away apart from a Beefeater one (which you entered if you ate there), so my emails are rather empty of wins! I did come home to over 3,000 messages, which thankfully I’ve finally cleared, and one winning letter for some craft show tickets. But apart from that, my August has been really dry. The kids go back to school soon though, so I will get back into the swing of things then!
For all you parents that need a break after the long summer holidays (or for anyone just wanting a bit of pampering luxury), then I’ve found some perfect prizes for you.
Homes and Antiques are offering one lucky person the chance to win a luxury pampering break at The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa in Bath. This fantastic prize includes two nights’ accommodation, with breakfast in a master suite, dinner on the first night, afternoon tea or a champagne cruise on board Lady Sophina, valet parking and access to the hotel spa. To get your name in the draw, register/log in and answer the following question; In which year did building begin on The Royal Crescent in Bath? Answer – 1767. The closing date is 3rd September.
Reveal Magazine has a £250 spa trip available to win for you and a friend. Answer the following question by 3rd September; How many UK households only drink rosé wine? Answer – 1.8m. You can also get bonus entries with this competition by sharing via social media.
At Home Magazine has a luxury skincare collection from Willow Organic worth £150 up for grabs. To be in with a chance answer the following question by the closing date of 7th September; Which of these beauty brands do we stock at GBBS? Answer – Tropic.
I’ve still got school uniform shopping to complete so have been searching out the best deals. Debenhams currently has 20% of selected lines, John Lewis has a few school wear offers on and Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys are always reasonable.
The summer may nearly be at an end but you can keep in the spirit with some festivals that are still to happen. London plays host to the iTunes festival which you can experience free via iTunes or with Apple TV and also Totally Thames which is a whole month of celebrations starting on 1st September. The festival itself is free to attend but some activities may charge a fee. Hull plays hosts to the Freedom Festival which is a three-day extravaganza running from the 5th-7th September. This is a family friendly, mostly free festival.
