Win yourself a bike worth £7,000 for some summer cycling fun

I haven’t managed to get much comping done this week. Nearing the end of term my children’s social lives are busier than mine, so I’m being kept on my toes driving back and forth to school discos, sports days, leaver’s assemblies and meeting new teachers! I’m hoping that I can try and play catch-up on my comps this weekend.

As many of you might be heading off on your summer holidays soon or even staying at home relaxing, I’ve found some great comps to accompany you. WHSmith has the chance for two lucky people to win a Kobo Arc 7HD 16GB tablet each worth £159.99 - perfect for downloading those summer reads. Simply enter your details here by 10am on 28th July.

British Cycling has a bike worth £7,000 up for grabs. So if you fancy some summer cycling then register/log in here before midnight on 31st July to get your name in the draw!

Morrisons Magazine is offering one reader the chance to win an iPad mini, the perfect size tablet to pop in a bag to keep yourself and the kids amused! Just submit your details here by 31st July.

If you are off abroad in the coming weeks make sure you have a valid EHIC (European Health Insurance Card); according to the statistics four million expire in 2014. This card will give you free or discounted access to EU (plus a few other) state-run hospitals or local GPs. It’s not a substitute for travel insurance but it’s something you should definitely have, and it’s free (although many internet sites try to charge you). You can apply here via the official Government website.

If you’re lucky enough to be jetting off to the States for your annual holiday, make sure you have something called an ESTA. This is an Electronic System for Travel Authorisation form and it must be done in advance as the scheme became compulsory five years ago. The form can only be processed online and the charge is $14 each. Make sure you use the official site here as again there are sites out there trying to cash in on this scheme which aren’t official and will charge you a premium. Once you’ve got an ESTA it is valid for two years.

Take a look at My Family Club; they have a feature on how to get cheap travel money here. It offers hints and tips and is a great guide if you need to change some money soon.

Have a great week. Stay lucky and don’t forget to keep in touch!
