Free Lego and free alcohol – one for the kids and the adults!

Now that I’m back into the swing of entering a regular amount of competitions, the prizes have started arriving again! I had two lots of Lego sets arrive from a magazine win, a cookery book from a blog entry, and then, much to the hubby’s delight, two tickets to see Tottenham play tonight – my first ever visit to a footie match!

Ticket wins are a real bonus as most venues charge expensive prices for events and just to walk through the gate at a theme park can set you back around £50 a person. So I’m hoping this week’s comps can help a lucky few get in for free!

Made for Mums has three family tickets to see Disney on Ice up for grabs. To be in with a chance of scooping these tickets, which are worth £200, answer the following question here; Timon and Pumbaa are characters from which Disney film? Answer – The Lion King. Closing date is 11.59pm on 1st October.

Homes and Antiques has two premium tickets to see Evita at the Dominion Theatre – not only that, but the lucky winner will also get a backstage tour, signed merchandise and  two-nights’ accommodation at the luxurious ME London hotel! To get your name in the draw register/log in and answer the following question here; in which year was the film Evita starring Madonna released? Answer – 1996. Closing date is 1st October.

Staffordshire Living is offering one lucky family (or not!) a ticket to the Alton Towers Resort and Scarefest (where the Alton Towers Resort will open the doors for the public to spend the whole night and discover what lies inside…..). To enter answer the following question here; who hosts ‘Spooky Story Time’ at Scarefest? Answer – Skelvin. Closing date is 1st October.

For those of you that haven’t seen this advertised, you have still got time to grab your kids some free Lego. Buy the Daily Mail every day up until Sunday 27th September at Smiths or Toys R Us and you’ll get a voucher inside which you can redeem for that day’s toy. The Lego toys are worth around £4-5 and are subject to availability.

Valid until the end of September, Pitcher & Piano are offering everyone that signs up to their free newsletter a free drink. You can choose from a Jack Daniel’s cocktail (worth about £7.50) or a bottle of Sol lager (worth about £4). You can also opt for a soft drink. Sign up here and you’ll be sent a code.

Although it’s probably a bit early to start talking Christmas, if you have plans to travel over the festive period by train, now is the time to bag yourself a cheap fare. Network Rail has to have the timetable set 12 weeks in advance, so generally speaking this is when train operators release cheap advance tickets. If you sign up to TheTrainline’s ticket alert system they will email you the moment cheap tickets become available for sale on a specific route. So this is a handy way to be first in line if you know your journey details in advance.

Have a great week. Stay lucky and don’t forget to keep in touch!
